Process & Requirements

Applying for membership at BYA is a straightforward process designed to help us get to know you and ensure you meet our standards. Once completed, your application will be reviewed by our team, and you will be further notified of your membership status.

Industry Experience

Members must have a demonstrated history and experience in the yachting or maritime industry. This could include ownership, management, or professional services related to yachts, yacht operations, and maritime regulations.

Commitment Industry Standards

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to upholding best practices, ethical standards, and compliance with relevant maritime regulations.

Professional Standing

Individual members should also meet professional qualifications or experience standards.

Application and Review Process

All prospective members must submit a membership application, which will be reviewed by the BYA. This could include a review of their professional background and alignment with the association’s objectives and values.

Adherence to Membership Code of Conduct

Members must agree to adhere to a code of conduct set by the BYA, which emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and the promotion of a safe and sustainable yachting industry.

Payment of Membership Fees

Members commit to an annual membership fee of 250 BGN/ 128 € paid directly through a bank transfer once their application is approved.

How to Become a Member

Joining the Bulgarian Yachting Association (BYA) is simple and provides valuable benefits for yachting professionals, captains, and enthusiasts. Our membership requires an annual fee as per the membership tier you have chosen and grants you access to expert guidance, and a strong network within the yachting community.

To become a member, just click on “Join the Association”, fill out the application form, select the membership that applies to you and submit it. Your application will be reviewed, and we will get back to you via email with the payment details.
