Presence of BYA

BYA’s participation reflects the growing ambition of Bulgaria to strengthen its position on the international yachting map and to become a more active participant in global discussions concerning the development of the marine and leisure boating industry.

Presence at forums such as the ICOMIA & IFBSO Congress creates valuable opportunities for establishing partnerships, exchanging expertise, and building long-term international connections that can benefit the Black Sea region and the wider yachting ecosystem in Eastern Europe.

At the same time, stronger international representation helps build credibility for Bulgaria within the global marine community. This is an important factor in attracting future investment, encouraging foreign cooperation, supporting international events and initiatives in the region, and creating new opportunities for Bulgarian professionals and businesses connected to the maritime and tourism industries.

It demonstrates that the country is increasingly present in conversations shaping the future of the global marine industry. Building visibility and credibility internationally is essential for attracting investment, encouraging collaboration, promoting marine tourism, and supporting the long-term development of yachting infrastructure, education, and professional opportunities in the region.

The Bulgarian Yachting Association believes that active involvement in international organizations and industry forums is a key step toward connecting Bulgaria more strongly with the global yachting community.
